Service Invoice

A representation of the billing resolution for a Service. An Invoice will take into account the final Patient Responsibility owed according to the insurance Claim, as well as any payments already captured as Estimate Charges.

If an Invoice determines that the Patient is owed a refund of their paid estimate amount, the Invoice will initiate the refund before settling the balance for the Service.

Once an Invoice is finalized, any payment due can be collected automatically from the payment method for the Patient. The paid balance will be tracked as a Payment for the Service and will automatically complete the Service once the balance is paid.
