# Overview

Welcome to the Bridge documentation! Here you'll find information to get started, our API Reference, and example use-cases.

Our technology is central to making this easy for any organization to quickly get started with accepting insurance. Typical integrations involve the following Bridge capabilities:

* **Soft Eligibility**: Check if providers within your organization are enrolled with the patient's insurance carrier and licensed to practice in the patient's state, establishing initial patient eligibility.
* **Hard Eligibility**: Verify that the patient has active insurance coverage and that it covers the type of service that will be rendered by your organization, ensuring full eligibility.
* **Cost Estimates**: Provide patients with an estimated cost breakdown, including copays, coinsurance, and deductible status, enhancing transparency during the signup process.
* **Provider Booking**: Identify providers eligible to treat the patient, based on insurance enrollment and licensure, easily integrating with your scheduling system to offer suitable provider options to patients.
* **Billing**: Transmit the information Bridge needs to bill the insurance provider for the visit and coordinate with Bridge to handle the collection of the patient's share of the cost.
