# Policy Errors

The [Policy](/api/api-reference/policies/get-policy) error `code` values are described here.
Note, some payers respond with multiple error codes.

| `GENERIC_ERROR`   | Unexpected error             |    |
| `DOB_INVALID`     | Date of birth is invalid     |    |
| `PATIENT_NAME`    | Patient name not found       |    |
| `DOB`             | Date of birth does not match |    |
| `MEMBER_ID`       | Member ID not found          |    |
| `SUBSCRIBER_NAME` | Patient name is invalid      |    |
| `PAYER_ERROR`     | Payer system error           |    |
