## Prior Authorization

Bridge now supports assigning Prior Authorization numbers when billing a Service.

Send a `priorAuthorizationNumber` in the [Create Service](/api/api-reference/services/list-services#response.body.priorAuthorizationNumber) or [Update Service](/api/api-reference/services/update-service#request.body.priorAuthorizationNumber) requests.

If necessary, Bridge will discuss configuring a ServiceType to forcibly require a Prior Authorization number.
In that case, Services will be automatically sent to triage `PRIOR_AUTHORIZATION` task, if no PA is provided.
